CURRICULUM VITAE

1943 Born in Kokkola, Finland.

Since ca. 1960 photography as a hobby.

1965-70 Studies of maths, physics and chemistry in the University of Oulu. No graduation.

1971-76 Full-time photographer in the Research laboratory of a fertilizer factory in Oulu.

1976-77 Teacher of photo laboratory department in a profession school.

1977- Free lance photographer

1972 Photo exhibition Valokuvia (Photographs) in Helsinki, later in several towns in Finland and Poland.

1977 Multivision and exhibition Northern Elements in Helsinki.

1986 Exhibition Landscapes in Helsinki, later on elsewhere in Finland.

1988 Book ”Earth Prints” published.

1991-92 Exhibition Kallun Tivoli (Kallu´s Tivoli) in Kuopio, Oulu and Tampere.

1969- Numerous lectures of photography and teaching in workshops.

1975 Member of a group of photographers receiving the State Prize of Photographic Art.

1977 State Art Prize of Photographic Art

1977 One year Art Grant of Oulu district.

1988- Fifteen-year Art Grant of the State.

1977-79 Membership of the National Council for Photographic Art.

2001-03 Membership of the National Council for Photographic Art
